Oh and if he is only getting a go to scrub the tyres in, does that make him a 'scrubber' !?!?

ermm because i do wanna use the bike and i do sometimes wanna go out on her, i didnt buy it to sit outside under a cover ,plus i wanna see what my baby can do in the right kinda hands/rider, ive already promised treacle when shes run in he can take her on track.

Hmmm nope it doesnt make him a scrubber, it makes him a rider who i trust on a 3 week old bike with new tyres (and its payback for him laughing that i have to run it in)

Now shall we stop de-railing?

Paws .. it is your bike, but I find it funny how you are covering up the fact you want someone else to wear off your chicken strips under the guise of it being safer for you to then ride .. when at the end of the day it doesn't make it any safer if you are not using that part (for now) anyway!!

Its vanity young lady, just admit it (we all already know it anyway) and we can move on!!

ermm not covering up at all-ask treacle-hes seen me riding her-im going into corners either v v slowly or near bolt upright as i dont trust the tyres, felt like riding on ice when i first picked the bike up id rather he at least scrubs the edges in abit further than id feel comfortable doing at the mo and then i can start taking corners with abit more faith in the tyres, and then i can finish them off come summer

Ah, I see, bearing in mind that in reality if treacle can lean it far enough to scrub the tyres in, you could have - this is an issue 'in your head' and the only way to resolve is to have belief the tyres will grip if you lean over, to gain this faith you have to see it has been done before ... I see that now.

If you really really don't like the tyres and it is taking much of the joy out of riding (no one likes riding scared the tyres are going to let go), then why not change them for something you have used and loved before? You don't have to chuck the ones on there away, slap them back on when you have got more used to the bike/in the summer!! Or flog them if you now have a mental block with them ...

I don't know, all this talk of getting hold of Treacle's 10', flicking it side to side and finishing them off come summer is all a bit much for me

I'd like my personal scrubber-in too

So I'll give you £50 for the Pirelli's

I know treacle can lean it far enough over, just check out his trackday pic

Yes it is a case of faith and confidence, and after having 2 offs in one year (one minor and one major) its something im slowly re-building-add on thats a new bike and still quite alien and v extreme to me compared to the sv =paws asking for help-something im not ashamed in doing, id rather see treacle prove its a confidence/mind thing and HOW to do it, then try and do it myself and bin a 3 week old bike

NEVER had a full on sports bike-let alone one thats running sports tyres, the sv ran metz roadtecs, havent got a mental block with-just they arent the easiest tyres to have on in this weather and i nknow teryiamonkey and edski will agree with me there, also small thing of lack of cash means i dont have luxery of changing tyres.

The Trumpa comes with Supercorsas on right? Personally I think they are fabulous tyres, hot cold, wet, dry, they still inspire confidence ...

But I also know what it is like to have a mental block with tyres ...

If seeing Mr T riding them doesn't sort your head out, then I suggest if you liked the metz, then get a pair of them chucked on
