I plopped Gary Moore's After The War onto my CD player a few weeks back.
Certainly his most polished 'Rock' album- for production and sound. There are some great skits on there- Led Clones is fun, but also This Thing Called Love is a great take on the Van Halen vibe, without being too serious! I like some of the songs off Wild Frontier (especially Over The Hills...- some great guitar stuff there for buffing up the technique), but it's such a budget album in some respects- the cheesy drum machines make it sound like a bit of a demo. |

Now who remembers Fields of the Nephilim? Every now and again I have to dig out one of their albums and have a good Goth Sway to that. It can get a little maudling, so can't do it too often. Elizium usually does the trick. Hmm, is it just me noticing this, or are there a lot of sad old Goths like myself frequenting this wonderful site? Well good for you Brothers and Sisters, keep that Goth flame dwindling in its darkend candle holder, you know you love it. ![]() |
