Ultimately if your just using it in summer and doing the odd weekend hoon so not many miles the 675 may well be just the bike for you.....but you need to decide what you want no one else. It took me months to finally pick something.

Interestingly I also rode the Street Triple R and whilst it offer great comfort and a bit more power it didnt tip in a sharply or certainly didnt feel as confident as the SV! Almost like the bars were too wide, could just be me though!

You haven't given much info to help us you know lol - what kind of rides you do helps a bit, but I don't know what bits of the SV you prefer and which bits you don't ? If your SV is your first/only bike (I can't tell) then it might be difficult for you to say which bits, but I'd at least give it a try. Everyone is going to suggest the bike they own/like which isn't necessarily what's best for you.
And on that note - GSX-R 750 ![]() No really, if you are considering a 675 I'd consider the 750. The 675 may be very good (the best?) in its class - but its class is the 600s. The 750 will be another level on top. Of course none of this helps you if all you really wanted was a nice sit-up-and-beg bike with lots of storage capacity and a decent pillion seat... ![]() |

SV likes - like the V twin for the flat torque range hence three cylinders similar. SV - first bike and a naked. Always said I wouldnt get a sports bike for not being able to control myself and thinking I'm Rossi but reallity is ridng confidence and the comprehension that it only goes a fast as you want leave me feeling that I may be able able to exercise some self control! nb650 |

spoken like true stinky bait FUD...
![]() i actually looked at the the GSXR750 as well as the 675, the deciding factor was that if i bought the suzuki, or a honda, kwak, yamaha, whatever, every time i opened the garage door i'd regret not buying the triumph, simple as that - thankfully i don't need a bike that starts every morning to get to work on time, i don't need one that'll withstand winters of salty abuse, i have enough disposable to pay for the most expensive servicing, so none of those things put me off in the slightest jealousy is a terrible thing ![]()

Having said that, if you get a 675 or 750 or any IL4 you will ride in a different way to the SV, you'll rev it more and that's when it'll really go. I'd definitely do as many test rides as you can, so you can be sure that's the kind of engine you want - otherwise you may be better off going for a litre twin of some kind. |
