I mentioned to them that if its parked in the hallway its in an alarmed house within 20 feet of the room where I sleep and its more secure than the garage where its kept.
They said "its just the way it is".

Would that be Carole Nash by any chance? We had the same idiot answer from them, so we went with Footman James who were cheaper, gave us free recovery and breakdown, and had the attitude that in the house was 'better than garaged'. After all, the garage could be some ratty lock-up two miles from your home...................really secure!

Nope was some pillock through bennets.
The quote was good though and as i rarely keep it in the house now it didnt really matter.
Even when I mentioned that its much safer in the house cause my gun cabinet is in the bedroom with me they didnt change their mind.
I was wondering if it could directly affect buildings and contents insurance though as its a vehicle.

No more dangerous than keeping a couple of gallons of petrol in your front room connected to a battery

that subsequently renders your house insurance null and void......
