what does it matter what your SV is worth when the policy covers third party damage only

oh, and you'll reeeeeeally regret not getting fire and theft when it gets nicked

aye
I only got tpft becasue it was bizarrely cheaper than 3rd party. Doubt I'd claim on my bike though.

IF only this wasn't true. A very close friend who always kept his bike in the house spent a night at his girlfriends house, on the next street up from me. At midnight he came banging on my door asking if he'd heard anybody revving the nuts out of his baby past my house.
The love of his life(and no, not the GF) had been half inched from outside her house....he only had the bike on TPO, he was absolutely gutted bike was never to be seen again.

As for insurance quotes, usually me being old and all, Carol nash usually give a good renewal quote. This year its crap. I'm on five years NCB now so was expecting it to go down as usual, but nooooooooo
I've haggled the best I can out of them, but am a bit miffed. No I won't change, as CN really do offer a good package for what you pay, and I've used their breakdown service. Apparently insurers are feeling the pinch this year, so its being handed down to us poor folk!

Clean everything, not ever been insured on any vehicle except for what I learnt on.

However it was an online quote which I don't really rely on

Fairly small town, in a cul-de-sack. Kept in a locked garage overnight.
