Free Trackday at Oulton ParK*

Well, Its going to rain... a lot.

and I've only got a front slick from Pirelli.
Loads and loads of other tyres including full wets but all from other manufactuers.

I've emailed them to see if I can still do it if I take my Pirellis with me to prove I have them and we'll see what they say (I think I know already, but in the interests of safety etc. etc.)

There's still hope. Metcheck shows showers not heavy rain. I was up at Oulton on Friday when the weather forecast said heavy rain.....in my t shirt. The weather was fine.

Unless is raining heavily the track drys pretty fast at Oulton.

Who did you mail? The circuit organisers?

I'm just going to play it by ear and see how they intend to police things, are they really going to check tyres? No idea.

Either way I'll be popping along, if nothing else its a few hours watching bikes on track. I'm pretty confident there'll be at least some dry track time to be had judging by the weather here over the past few days.

Right, just had confirmation from the organiser at MSV that only Pirelli tyres will be permitted on track tomorrow. Apparently Pirelli will be able to supply wets at the circuit if you want any

Ah well. Fingers crossed for the weather.

I can't warrant buying another set of tyres when I have 7 sets in the shed.

me and my pirellies shall not be attending either since I'm probably going to get wet enough at anglesey friday

you didnt miss much guys. I got a cheeky dry session in first thing but it lashed down later on so I packed up and left pretty early.
