Have you tried the mod I mentioned in post 10 of this thread ?

I had problems with the gear change but found that the rear heel guide cover was restricting my foot movement. I took out the two cap head screws holding on the guide cover and shaved about 3mm off the top with a Stanley Knife. That allowed my foot to extend under the lever easier. I also chamfered the front of the heel on the right one to help with the way I move my foot to the brake on the track. Two very minor mods that improved the boots 100%.

This worked for me and gear changes are spot on now the boots have worn in.

Will definitely try, that's really helpful thanks! Is the torsion system hitting the heel guard then? Haven't got the boots in front of me but will be giving it a go!

Yes, the tounge of the heel guide changes shape to restrict ankle movement, but too much in my opinion. Look at the heel of the boot from behind and bend the foot down. You will see where the range is limited. This is where you need to trim the cover to allow more range. It's very easy to do and sorts out the gear changing. These boots definately saved my foot from extensive damage when I was side swiped by a 206. Impact was right onto my left ankle / foot. They are proper comfy too.

Ratty, I took your advice and cut about 5mm off the heel protector. Did 200 odd miles on the CBR and it helped massively!! Only a couple of hiccups but I'm going to bring the gear lever up a bit to sort that.

Thanks for helpful advice.

I'm glad it worked for you mate. Like I said, I also took a Stanly to the heel of the right sole because it was catching the footrest before I got to the brake on track. boots are now brill. Still can't creep up on anybody though

Does anyone know if these come up big or small?

Can't seem to find any in local shops to try on...

I found them the same sizing as trainer sizes. I'm a size 11 so just matched their 'fifty-whatever' size with uk trainer size 11. I was trying on size 13 equivalent alpine stars and couldn't even fit my feet in
