I don't think the flush mounts are legal as they're not marked as such, iirc. They would probably pass an MOT as they are fine otherwise, as long as they're visible. In fact, they look identical to the side repeaters on some Ford cars - so there might be a mark on them somewhere.

The problem with making a number plate bracket is weight and rigidity. That back end of your undertray isn't all that rigid - it only attaches to the side plastics - thats all that's holding it in. It's not attached to the frame anywhere. If the number plate + bracket is too heavy and/or wobbles about too much, you risk the whole back end collapsing. BillyC suffered from this, i think.

My bike is currently off the road cos i'm replacing mine - I loved the look of it but I now find it too much hassle to have to make it legal every year for MOT. Obviously this is your call.

hum as i sead the problem i have it the exhast means i carnt fit standard ones off the plate because it in the way what im thinking about doing is geting a new undertray but next to the rear light on ether side cut holes out and use the indies from the flush mount undertray so they are higer up and in full view but that means cuting the original plastics

and on a good note i have just recived my draper torque wrench

Different kinda bike though and the insurance is nearly half what it is for an R6 on an SV. I need to get a test on both me thinks....

Not a huge fan of naked bikes TBH but saw this today and thought how nice it looked. should've been the way the new SV looked. Shame the quality doesn't match the looks
