Finished college last night at 10pm, rode enthusiastically across the car park, braked for the automatic barrier, lost the front on an icy patch and juuuuuuussstt recovered it 6 inches away from a classic comedy accident!

I love the DRZ, it's even fun when it's cold, wet and icy Everyone should have one for winter!

but what if you cannot see out of the windscreen? you must at least let it warm up enough so your windscreen is clear.

Looks like the cars have defrosted outside the flat- so I will head outside to service the bike shortly. No need to say that I've layered up for the job...!

Left the missus's place last night at 12. Car was frozen solid, get in, start motor, hit the switches for heated screens, 2 mins later, all clear.

Woke up today at 8, no frost at all, it had got warmer overnight.

I'm lucky enough not to have to ride all year round any more.

Just seen some DAS peeps out with the instructor. It's about +2 or 3C here. Must be cold, riding around all day.

I was very luck with my CBT and DAS- in November and December, but both were mild and dry. Then the big freeze hit once I started riding!!

Well- servicing didn't happen. Bike wouldn't start- combination of very cold and weak battery (on charge now).

So I'm off to Halfords to get a Power Pack to get around it in future...
