To what extent, do you know? I just woulda thought your first steps would be racefilter and race system maybe some other bits.

FP stacks do make a difference, I have them fitted to my SV, the amount of actual/overall power they add/take from the bike, I have no idea as I haven't had it dyno'd.......
However...... They certainly change the feel of the bike, especially in the midrange, feels more torquey. They change the induction noise too. I fitted my SV1000 snorkel and K+N today, so may change the feel again, TOO much salt on the roads to try at the moment. Then again, I also have an aftermarket exhaust system and a remapped ecu, so who knows.... ![]() |

you are only moving a power hump from one place to another.
it takes serious amounts of cash and time to make improvements to the sv650 and for the gains v power its not worth it. if you want more power get a more powerful bike to begin with. ride an sv650 for what it is a nice vtwin and save your money for days out or better tyres etc.etc. |

But, as I wrote, there is a noticeable difference in midrange. Which can only be a good thing. I had a "sports-bike", came back to an SV because it is exactly what you said, a nice v-twin. I'd add more to that, as there is a more important factor to consider.....they are a FUN bike. |
