£250 for a Service. Is This Good?

Well i've emailed him to ask what he'd do on a 15000 mile service so it'll be interesting to see what reply i get.

Did you mention that's the service interval with the valve clearances?
Don't want them not knowing and not doing it (or quoting for it).

he said about £100 for valve clearance when i mentioned it the other day. less if they doesn't need adjusting.

If you do get it done by them and they are indeed possibly dodgy, ask them what the gaps were when measured.

i'd ask them to write on quote for your own records anyway

Riverside are in my old premises, which they took over after my ill conceived move north.

I knew of them when they were in Walton, & they seemed to have a good reputation.
However, since I've been back, I have seen some woeful work from them, & have heard of some considerable differences in prices quoted. I wonder what's going on there?
