Default Re: 33 BHP With A Sports Exhaust

It will make no difference to power output, if the engine's intake is restricted such that it makes a given output you can do whatever you like to the exhaust - it still won't take any more gas in.

Think about it like this; the standard exhaust flows at least enough gas to allow the motor to make its unrestricted 70ish BHP, so it clearly flows more than twice as much gas as it needs to in order that the engine will produce its 33BHP in restricted form, thus any extra flow that another exhaust might allow can't be of any benefit.

Yeah, there was alot of debate on a previous thread about it invalidation your insurance tho

No real conclusion was made. However, still made me think about the off chance a copper doesnt like your exhaust due to no baffle....

Yeah, if your can has the relevant marking for the UK then it will be legal and valid (if you informed your insurance of course)

You can buy the straps pre-printed on ebay and rivet on

Sure any brief could tear the rse out of any case where a restricted bike was in question like that.

And insurers can't just decide not to pay out for a laugh.
