The Pure's also to me didnt look like a direct Power 2CT replacement. I am wandering if they would be to "track" focused for the sort of riding I do...

That is what I think. The power ones come in slick/ wet etc. The power pure look like only just legal track tyres, with the power 2ct being fast road with odd track here and there.

I am using these on the zx9r, great tyre. I had the roads 2ct on the SV and there where ace. powers are so much better. Went to scrub the new front in, started raining, didn't even notice and was'nt hanging around on the A38

The pures seem more race focused rather than road, they claim that they are 2lbs lighter per set than other competitiors such as the BT-016 (120/70/17 and 190/50/17 sizes)

So any one else got any other reviews on these tyres?
Im still really happy with mine, so much confidence (maybe too much) Only sort of wobbles i have had from them are when using the rear brake and shifting down (without blipping the throttle) But the only issues ive got so far is that the rear tyre tread mainly on the right hand side of the tyre has started to step and also on both sides all around the tyre in front of the tread (if that makes sense) there is an odd curved line which ive never noticed before. Other than that still fantasic ![]() |

im well happy with mine, ive replaced my worn rear with a nice new one, scrubbing it in in this wet weather is causing no problems. unless someone wants to pay for a new set of tyres then i will be sticking with these for a while...

The prices started to sky rocket last year, I managed to get mine for £200 for the set "cash", then not long after, the best price I could get was £240. It seems they have been steadily increasing since then. Probably due to the weak pound.
I still reckon you should be able to get a set for under £250 if you look hard enough. |
