Yea, I love the NR, just because its something different and special. Its from a time when Honda thought with its heart and balls (Pretty much ended imo when the VTR stopped racing) as oppose to its head and wallet like it seems to atm.

Not quite sure, Can't remember where I picked up the picture from.
For those that don't know your V4 honda's its a 2 gear set of transfer gears with alloy holders (standard are 3 with pressed steel), ie reverse camshafts, rare as rocking horse poo! I do hope you are ready for this next one though..... ![]() Druid

![]() Me neither mate, that's why I'm here this morning to spanner more rolling dog turds ![]() Quote:
It does make one wonder why Honda didn't use a two gear train as standard though. A couple of years ago I did a lot of head work on an R1 track bike. The customer had bought just about every trick bit available. Vernier camshaft sprockets, & big bang camshafts etc. They just looked too nice to put in an engine & cover them with oil ![]() I do hope you are ready for this next one though..... Now you're just showing off old Boy! ![]() ![]() Last edited by Spanner Man; 16-04-10 at 06:41 AM. |
