5'9" if I try hard enough, but I have long arms and legs so have a 33" inseam

The rest is just getting used to the height of the bike, making sure you check where you stop and not parking it on a sideways slope or I can't lift it off the sidestand

Thanks for all the comments folks, I'm back at work today so they may actually expect me to do something and not type up more pics, but if so I'll get right back on it this evening

Awsome mate. I was looking at those trails and missing my old KTM SX125 - mind you with an engine rebuild required every 8 hours or so, I'd spend more time using spanners than riding!

Wishing I had more time this year to go off on an eipc trip. I fancy doing the arctic circle (in summer obviously). I have very itchy feet as I didn't get away last year on the bike. I was in ecuador wishing i had it with me

Part three awaaay!!!

Monday 19th April : Luggage back on and we head for the desert via Foum Zguid:

First stop, an oasis:

We thought we were roughty toughty Adventurers until Mr local with his shopping hanging off the handlebar wades the same river we did to get to the oasis...

Always time for some river crossing fun en route

And all of a sudden you're in the desert proper, it's fookin hot and there's not much to look at...

After a late lunch in Foum Zguid we head off accross the desert to Zagora, and find a nice little place to camp:

Dinner is served

Tuesday 20th April : Wake up at 05:30 (Morocco is on GMT)

We'd decided the previous night that the desert was boring and we'd skip a night, blat to Erg Chebbi and spend the extra day in the mountains instead. After a half hour I notice a lack of bikes behind, you have to leave a big gap or you end up riding in someone else's dust cloud, only me and Jason were still there, so we stopped and waited:

Where we'd come from:

Where we were going...

The desert is big..

Then... Bikes on the horizon:

Mark had clipped a rock an pinched his front tube, a half hour tube change and he was back on course

As we get toward Zagora the road widens and the surface gets better, still no traffic so easy enough to pose for some photos

We made it to Zagora, only 52 days to Timbuktu:

The early morning was showing

We are met by a mechanic who finds us a cash machine and invites us to his "Dakar Garage"

After some lunch we blast to Erg Chebbi, arriving at the "Auberge Derka Derka"

My socks were attracting the wildlife...

Nice relaxing place

With "Patches" the dog

And "Renault" the parrot

Wednesday 21st April : We head off for a few hours to see the dunes you could see from the hotel

Gareth has a play:

And the inevitable happens

Jason had a good bash:

Others tried but were less successful:

In a fit of madness Gareth decides to climb a dune, in his MX boots...

Can you spot him?

That evening the winds were up and a mini sandstorm gave a hazy sunset

Final installment coming soon...

Thursday 22nd April : We left the desert heat behind

But not without finding some real wild camels

We sere doing alright until Welsh Gareth tried to have sex with them!!!

We head north through the Todra gorge

Managed to miss the campsite we'd been recommended and ended up camping on the flood plain of a river out of sight of the road

We woke up in the morning to the sound of sheep, gareth thought he was dreaming as we opened the tents to see this

Anyway...

Friday 23rd April : Up early again

Gareth seemed to be in an uncommonly good mood, singing to his bike as he got ready...

We head back accross the mountains via some tarmac

Met two brits going the other way on little 400s

And carried on to Midelt

Saturday 24th April : Today was a mile eater on the N13 back to Chef

Sunday 25th April : We head back across the border and back into Spain

And spend the next two nights in Ronda, beautiful little town with spectacular roads

My can of Coke that traveled the whole trip through Morocco

The bike is suitably filthy

Tuesday 27th April : Back accross to Tony's place and the bikes get packed up to come home

That's all folks!!!
