Asked why she removed the page, she said: 'I don't know really. A few of us came to a decision but it's going to be up again running.

WTF?? ha ha, says it all really.

Evolution in action.

Unfortunatly he had time to spread his genes before self destructing.
Unfortunatly he had time to maim and murder before self destructing.

I feel sorry for his victims.
I'am not sure how I feel about his family.

Socitey as a whole is better off without him and his like, both socially and financially.

Legend? in the same way that polpot is a legend - pure evil.

should have been an order to shoot to kill/shoot on sight order and save costs of a 6 hour stand off. guy was a f*****G loon on too many steriods. his brother seems totaly unaware that his brother was a total nut job.

To blame the police for this is not even logical. lets stop blaming the local council/police or his up brining the guy done what he done and he was responsable for his actions.

I`m not going to enter into a debate on whether Moat deserved to live or die as I have very mixed feelings on the subject and am unable to make sense in my head of whether he was a victim or a very evil man.

His friends have said that he was capable of being extremely loving and romantic but due to steriod abuse that side of him became less and less obvious. I can say that having some years ago had a partner who became addicted to steriods and the gym I can fully understand what his friends are trying to say. I had 2 years of a romantic and loving man followed by 6 months of trying to understand where that person had gone and why he had turned into this nasty, abusive, fiercely jealous and controlling man who had started to mix with some undesireable characters. I ended the relationship due to his violence and didn`t take his threats of how he was going to kill me very seriously but a couple of months after the split he attacked me on a garage forecourt and tried to strangle me... luckily he was pulled off but it took 4 grown men to pin him down. I don`t believe that he was mentally ill or a bad person, i feel that the steriods changed his personality and turned him into that monster.

I have read speculation that Moat had an undiagnosed and untreated mental illness, if that is true then I think that any "life blows" could seriously tip him over the edge especially when the steriod abuse is taken into account as i`m sure this played hell with his rational thought. My best friends brother was a sane, intelligent man who i had known for almost 30 years, he had a young son who on the breakup of the relationship went back to Australia with his mother. After that he received photo`s but went with his ex`s wishes that he stayed out of his son`s life. A couple of years down the line he was married and had another son, the marriage broken down and his wife taunted him and threatened to take their son back to Sri Lanka. He became depressed and couldn`t face the thought of losing another child so he decided to take not just his own life but also the life of his 2 year old son. I know without a doubt that if he had not been suffering from severe depression he would never have taken his own life, never mind that of his son. My point is that even the most sane of people can develop mental illness and that illness can push someone over the edge to carry out such selfish and evil acts. My friend has had to come to terms with not just the loss of her brother and nephew but also the fact that it is officially recorded that her brother took his own life and carried out the unlawful killing of his son.

Whilst I don`t know if Moat had an undiagnosed mental illness I believe that he was definitely a victim in the sense that I don`t think he intended to take his own life. I believe that it was the actions of the police that caused him to pull that trigger ie. firing the taser gun twice and delivering an electric shock that caused a muscle spasm. If I am right then does that not make the police guilty of murder?

Very good post. Apart from the end, I don't quite follow it. Until the official inquiry by the IPCC is complete, the public won't know if they tazered him before shots were fired or after??

I get what you are saying but I think he did intend to die. I think he wanted death by cop. The police didn't want him to die, otherwise they would have shot to kill, not tazered. It's all a big mess but I am sure of one thing, I am glad I had no part of it!
