I bottle it with about 130 miles on the comp. Mainly A roads that. With the K4 does anyone know if the fuel light comes on as a preliminary warning then flashes just before she runs out?

I should look at the manual really but im being lazy

On the K6 it flashes when you've got 4l left, then solid light when only a litre left.
Anyone, please correct me if you think I'm wrong, but the theory fits with my fuel comp.

140 something miles on motorway in France at full throttle near enough whole way, light still didn't come on.

Light comes on ......... you carry on for maybe 40 miles very carefully , after that it`s "Walkies" .... it doesn`t flash and you feel like a right chump after berating your friend for running out of fuel one night and rescuing him , then recalling the favour back less than a week later .

The K4 should flash (it's only the K3 that doesn't), although there have been some reports of them not (early K4s with end of K3 parts?)

There is a crossover point so I would not take it as gospel , that`s why I also added the 40 mile range as a precautionary , if you are in unfamiliar territory then I would seriously be looking for a garage around about that mileage . I also find it odd that the Curvy flashes and most Pointies do but the K3 (which I have) has a constant light , Suzuki can be a right bunch of Bung Holes sometimes .

Went out for a run yesterday. A-roads and motorways - not hanging about. Light came on at 130, filled up at 145 - only took 13(ish) litres. So had another 3 and a bit litres left...meaning about 30odd miles left if I was to continue in the same vein.

(I have a K3)

I managed to get 128.5 miles yesterday before the light came on and stayed on, on my K4. And that's riding fairly smoothly.

140-150 before me light flashes. But on motorway I once got 190 before it came on. Was rather pleased with that.
