Weston to Nailsea this morning, should take about half an hour, this morning took an hour. Why is that I hear you ask? Well, it was not snow. My XJ broke down again on the M5, then ran really rough from Clevedon to Nailsea. I think that it is an Inline three and a half now!

Last Friday was Portishead to Weston, a trip that usually takes about forty minutes. On Friday it took me two hours, the motorway was down to 45MPH and the final road home was an ice rink. The SV was a marvel and handled beautifully for such a big bike.

Got me some new over gloves this evening, am now wearing liners, winter gloves and over gloves. Hopefully my hands will not be quite so painful in the morning when I arrive at work. Not sure how to stop my helmet icing up though, the visor froze shut and the ice on the inside made it hard to see on the motorway. I am really enjoying this winter commuting lark.

More snow here last night, I got to go to Liverpool today, I've decided to go on the train but it's a 25 minute drive across country to Wem train station. Will be interesting!

My commute today was 2 metres... into the home office.

Loads of snow over night for us, fortunately I can work where I like to a certain extent.

I found the bend on the stairs a little dodgy, and the kitchen floor was definitely iffy.

Arrived in my home office without further incident, and thankfully the house police are about to deliver more coffee.

Snow overnight here. Got up a bit earlier and left about 20 mins earlier.... looks like I was the only one that has bothered. Only 3 of us in the office.

Main roads are like nothing has happened so nobody better call in that they have been snowed in as I will go and get them!

Argghhhhh! Only got about 2 cm of snow here, so got up and set off a bit early for work. The A12 was crawling but still moving.
Then half way to work got a call that the school was closed! Why leave it so freaking late???

Managed to turn off and double back but what a waste of time and money. Not a happy teacer

Bed to kettle took about 2 mins, had to negotiate stairs whilst feeling a little dizzy. Kettle back to bed with hot tea about 1 min 30 seconds. Do have GP appt later this morning.. my road snowy but main roads will be clear
