I did the same thing 200 yards after leaving work on the first heavy snow we had one Friday night. Nothing amazing, but, fun

Anyway, I only cracked the indicator stork, of which I had spare.

Hope you get better with your back, mine is buggered and trust me a Thou' is heavy even if it is quite flickable at speed, lol.

I dropped mine the week before Xmas- got back from Spanner Man's/MOT centre in the snow fine. Then used the front brake "by mistake" at the front gate and had a gentle drop. Fortunately no damage for me (or none that looked worse than what was there!!).

Glad you're OK- that's the most important thing. The rest is just money and graft!

the frist dozen or so slips and slides coming out of leeds were scary-interesting-fun-intentional in that order lol but by the time id made it to cleck (local town centre to my house) and I'd seen 2 car accidents I started to think it was just dumb luck keeping me on the bike - unluckily the next series of slides we neither intentional or fun and my luck had convieniently run out.

Just checked on ebay and even tho the lowers are different colours to my bike the cheapest LHS lower is £60 gutted, might be better off selling the one I've got and forgetting them entierly.

Sorry to hear you've had an off but glad you got away without being seriously injured. You wouldn't have got me riding home from Leeds today!

Whoops.
Still any off you walk away from is a good off.
