Bad bad news, but there is always the hope and probability of recovery and a decent future life.

FWIW, (I can't remember if I've mentioned it here before) my eldest daughter was lucky enough to be diagnosed as having Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy when she was 11 months old. It would appear that many young people aren't aware they are suffering until they suddenly suffer a cardiac arrest, so we're very grateful that she was diagnosed so early on. Caz was born with a leaky heart valve, and when she was being operated on they discovered her other condition. She's been on beta blockers and a variety of other drugs almost all of her life, but is a busy and active person who maintains a good level of fitness. The condition is hereditary, and I have been diagnosed as also suffering but to nowhere near the same extent as my daughter, my 76 yr old mum also has the same condition at about the same level as me, and she managed to safely have 5 kids.

Chin up Chris, this isn't the end of the world and you can come out the other side strong and still active. Wishing you all the best for a speedy and painfree recovery mate

Holy Hell, now that sounds like a rough trip. From what I have heard of Thai hospitals, he is in a good, clean and professional place. Heal fast matey and go easy for a while, some of them tarts out there an be a lot to handle!

Speaking with Claire on the phone, as with the other guys really shocking to hear about a great person, espically as Chris is the fittest out of all us!
