If you want an easy 24mm hex tool, pop down to local ironmongers and buy 1x m16 nut and two bolts, lock the bolts together against each other at the end of the thread with spanners, and Bob's your uncle.

Cost about £1.50 max.

Yup. For added brownie points weld them together, sometimes if you get a really corroded spindle they can need a couple of attempts at nipping the nut and bolt together.

Think you mean 1x M16 bolt and two nuts ?

I had a sv1000 for 5 years with lowers, and never had any issues with overheating

forks rebuilt, head bearings checked and adjusted, new Michelin PR3 fitted and balanced to front, just putting the front back together. Think I'll order braided hoses to replace the originals.

I've left the lowers off it for now, I think I prefer the look of the bike like that.
