Default Re: Round 4 - Monster Energy Grand Prix de France a.k.a. Le Mans

Those front wheel to back wheel contacts are 99% of the time the fault of the rider behind.

In most situations, though, both riders are arriving at the corner at similar speeds, or the rider on the inside is travelling more quickly, cannot stop, and hits the rider on the outside.

Here's it's different because Sic is travelling much more quickly than Ped. IMO, though, if Ped sees what is happening, and could brake harder, he is obliged to do so because he does not have sufficient overlap to hold the position. However if he's braking as hard as he can, and the overlap is determined purely by Sic (who must surely then have been going far too fast for the corner I might add) then there's nothing he can do about.

We see noses getting chopped off all the time in corners, and it usually works out ok because the choppee can slow his bike relative to the chopper, but in braking zones it goes without saying that people are usually stopping as hard as they can anyway.

Anyway, the 125 race was fantastic. I think Terol is great, and for this young kid to give him a race like that was something really special. Perhaps it inspired Marquez for the Moto2 race too.
