I put it on for 3 mins then 20. If you're gonna use autosol anyway then I don't see the point in buying optiglanz. I autosoled my pipes a few years ago and it is soooooo not worth the effort. Only lasted a few rides.

And I know what you're gonna say, you have to do it regularly then it becomes easy. But it's just not worth it for me.

I want a product that you spray on and it comes out looking like your pipes

Oh, I don't use the autosol with elbow grease Darren. After the Optiglanz, I use it like you would when you are just giving the furniture in your house a quick buff.

I only use the Optiglanz every couple of months, or when they've gone crapped up again, I don't use it regularly at all. I would think it could be detrimental with continual use.

I think its more to give you a massive head start for really ploppy pipes tbh.....and believe me theres nowt as ploppy as a brown Raptor pipe

I'm afraid if there was owt like it, I'd have found it, coz I hate getting Autosol black hands, and chipped nails. Eczema and autosol don't mix either

Everything in life comes at a cost, and shiny means elbow grease, scabby hands and effort......

.....unless you have a polishing wheel in a shed

I'm afraid I too have this opinion and that's without YC's influence. Although I don't like the bike looking like a dog's dinner (I'll clean off a bit of muck here and there) I cannot justify spending that time just polishing. I cannot see the bike as I am on it, I don't sit around in car parks waiting for people to pass pretty comments about it either so in my mind polishing = waste of my time.

I can see why some folk do it...actually nah. Maybe I don't. If I'd spent a pretty penny on it and it was a toy then maybe...actually nah, I'd spend the money on something else like a home

At the moment my bike is looking a bit dull, it's lost its shine. Now I don't want to spend loads on polishing products, just something cheap that will bring some of its shine back. When I had it serviced, while I was waiting for them to finish up the mechanic sprayed some stuff all over the paintwork and wiped it off pretty much straight away and it left my paintwork looking like showroom quality and it stayed like that, even through rain, until I washed the bike properly a couple of weeks later. Anyway not sure what AutoGlym product I should go for from my previous link.

Went and had a look at some of the AutoGlym products that Halfords sell and came across AutoGlyms newest Super Resin Polish. They had a deal on which was a 1 litre bottle of polish and a finishing cloth for £12.79 I think. Used it and wow what a difference in colour. My bike used to look dull and the blue looked a bit faded and after using a dab of polish no bigger than my thumb nail the entire fuel tank is a nice deep blue and very shiny. If your one of those people who like to polish their bikes now and then, I definitely recommend going to Halfords and picking up some of the AutoGlym Super Resin Polish that comes with the free finishing cloth which is on a deal at the moment. (Sorry about the wall of text, my PS3 doesn't keep the paragraphs when I post for some reason)

Super resin is quite good especially for curvy black SV's!
Nice when it rains and it beads off the fairings!

I use it, but when its finished I shall be going for McGuires or something a bit more expensive.
