Didn't say I didn't want it.... Just that I plan to take out pillions. However I may be able to sell if I don't mind the look without - this is of course if I buy....

Cheers

Just a quick update for OP.

I have told wickedquotes about the mods on the phone and am waiting a reply as they needed to ask the underwriters because of the number of mods.

Thanks for answering the PM i sent too.

Cheers

Rich

Just been called by wickedquotes and sadly they wouldn't even give a quote due to all the mods. Probably due to me not having had a licence for long (passed feb this year). Therefore won't be following up my interest.

Thanks

Rich

Which mods did you mention?
Are you trying to insure it FC or TPFT?

Hi

I mentioned everything (do it by the book) and the guy said the underwriters were mainly concerned with the forks and suspention mods as it now wasn't really an sv due to the scale of the mods. Think its more my lack of experience.

I was looking at TPFT but due to them not wanting to insure it I guess it will increase the premium quite a bit if someone was to insure and I am on a budget. Still looking but in no rush as I have other commitments at the mo.... Should intoduce myself to the forum now I suppose...

Yes better forks that work and will keep the thing in a staight line are far more likely to cause problems than the soft squishy OE one's????

I'd be suprised if everyone on this forum who upgraded their rear shock ever mentioned it to their insurer.
Most of the time things that don't increase power are only mentionable if you want them to be replaced or taken into consideration when valuing the bike after an accident. If you are TPFT then there is no reason that the mods should affect the price or indeed whether they would quote or not.

Well wicked quotes are currently insuring members with upgraded suspension and brakes. Did you try any of my suggested companies of which are willing to insure me with the same mods?

Anyone want to go 1/3rds with me and share it as a track bike? I'm serious about this.
