I'm not sure you'd want them the same curve they are doing different jobs.
Forks can be revalved...

seemingly the gsxr 600/750 k4-5 have very good valves but are shimmed badly and i'll testify to that. rebound almost all the way in before it becomes effective and compression is a bit hit and miss. sublime on well tarred A roads but nasty on bad B roads. mind you its still not half as bad as the standard excuse for forks that the SV650 comes with.. lol

So revalve... I have done a couple of sets of those. I like those valves. Not sure whether I prefer with midvalve or without, both can be really nice. Need to ride more.

one thing i don't have a clue about but started reading into it but just got board as there was no 'layman's' answers as to what part of the stack does what in terms of function and seems to be a big secret. if i found that out then i could more than likely work it out.

Well many things learnt! Thanks for all advice - never thought that a shock needed that regular servicing but it all makes perfect sense... Not onto sv650racer!

Briefly, I've now got a new set of BT023s on with a 120/70 front. Two words, bloody brilliant. The new rubber is silly grippy and the change of profile on the front gives a much more planted feel through the corners, seems to absorb the awful road surfaces much better too, especially the nasty gonna-pull-you-off-line joins in the tarmac on roundabouts. I'm still scrubbing the edges but got caught in the pi$$ing rain on thursday after 100 miles and they performed admirably. Oh, standard 33/36psi pressures too.
Confidence!!! Thanks all! |
