04.
Other guy at work has driven the car version and says it's loads nicer.

If you've got the 1.9 fair enough but diesels should not be 1500cc. 1500cc is bike territory!

Try set off up the hills around here with it and it's just nasty, the boost doesn't start right from the bottom like it should on a van engine. It's very annoying.

And long may it continue.

You had anything useful to add?

Nope, just popped in to see if there was anything interesting, seeing as I'm a parent with specific criteria when looking for s new car, which will be happening shortly.

I wouldn't ferry children around in a rusty old Vito, you might lose them through the floor, might be quite messy

like all things car and mpv related,if you buy new and sell at 3 years old then most will be trouble free, but the way i look at it,(with there past history)i would aviod french and italian mpv's and cars,go for a vw,seat audi, skoda group mpv, ford or any of the jap manafacturers,

Thanks for all the input folks.

The big van based MPV's are out - my wife doesn't want to drive anything that big. She drove an 08 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso on Saturday and seemed to like that. The seat layout on it would certainly work for us.

That Picasso's well under budget so that might leave some change for my next dastardly plan.

My wife seems drawn exclusively to French or Italian vehicles for some reason. Probably because she's not the one lying under them in the ****ing rain.

I have a 2003 1.9 naturally aspirated. all of 71BHP. As you say gutless but for fuel economy great. My only issue is one of the side doors is not sealing properly. The locating pin plastics were missing. now replaced for a couple of quid but it is still leaking in. I guess I need to try realigning the pins to pull the door in. I also have a seat in the back to make it a 4 seater.
