the penny drops and you've just hit the nail on the head
performance for me is not about going fast, it's about rider satisfaction it's more to do with torque and power delivery than outright power, but large capacity bikes deliver it, and particularly the triple engine you have now its why i posted a link earlier to a CBF1000, not a 650 versys a bike that makes things feel totally effortless is rewarding to ride, even if you don't ride it fast unless you want something younger with less miles, stick to what you have, that 955 engine is a peach Last edited by Fordward; 28-03-13 at 10:53 PM. |

im on a 2000 cb500 and while its a decent enough bike, i wouldnt fancy touring far on it. But it depends how much your actually gona go travelling round

Sounds like you need that same big v-twin satisfaction still but with something a little newer?
Could you justify a little more cash and get an SMT / Adventure? Either would provide a good long term bike that does nearly everything you'll want..just not everyone's cup of tea...?
