Thumbs up Re: PT6... one lucky, lucky boy...

Well done that man !!!

Got my first bird strike last year, was a blackbird, we were both doing about 60mph at the time. Hit me square on the visor, whole world went black and am so glad i was on a straight bit of road. Just went into auto pilot and pulled the clutch in and slowed to a stop gently, fumbled for the ignition and then put my head on the tank. Took me a minute before I could even raise my head or see anything. Hardest hit i have ever taken to the head. Bloody frightening.

So getting hit by a pheasent and staying on !!! Well done.

cheers buddy eye basically healed now, just a tiny little bruise left.

The helmsley TT is my absolute favourite…. The road from Helmsley to Stokesly, just absolute perfection. Luckily not many southerners know about it

PS don't mess with wild deer.
Been there, done that and stayed upright... Got deer fur stuck in my toe sliders though
(it ran into the side of my bike at fairly low speed, only slightly cracked one panel!)

Good effort staying upright after a bird to the face though! Did you take the offending bird home with you?

Ahh forgot to look for a writeup, missed this first time round. Sounds horrendous, biggest thing I've hit yet is a bumblebee and that feckin' stung!

A Blackbird doing 60? Can you verify it looked like this?
