Hey fella's, about 5 of us confirmed for a Rideout in Wales so you're welcome to join. Of course, there's likely to be quite a few others out so will see what the final numbers are tomorrow. Meeting point is (as usual for us) Terry's burger van just past Story Arms in Brecon @ 11am - any of you guys who ride through Brecon should know this - but happy to pick you up at the McD's Grant mentioned just off the A470 junction coming out of Cardiff.

As for route? Not sure yet, but is likely to go over some cracking mountain roads and fast A' Roads, possibly towards the coast. Typically its about 150miles there and back to the Brecon meeting point, so obviously for you guys it will be a little bit more. However, you can cut the ride short whenever you like and take the straight route back if you need to make time. The final route will be discussed at the meeting point tomorrow.

What else? The Guy that leads our rideouts - we call him "The Chairman" - rides a BMW RT something or other. But do not be fooled, he can get a shift on if necessary. More importantly, he's experienced and knows more routes than a Sat Nav.

We use the drop-off system and have regular stops, at least 4 times during the journey, so no-one gets left behind and appointed TEC means you can ride at your own pace within the group. Here's a short vid of last week's ride to Ponderosa Cafe:

Sounds like a the South Wales motorcycle club Hovis was a part of. I'm happy with either, I've done both routes and am not looking for much fast riding, just a leisurely day out laughing at Stu mostly

That's the one. Many of them knew Hovis personally.

Yeah, met some of them at the memorial meet for Hovis in the pub in Caerffili. Was part of the group, but, never rode with them as Hovis had another set of bikers he and I used to ride with, they were nutters and I was always behind them, lol

Well I know at least 1 nutter that Hovis use to ride with. Obviously never met Hovis, but from the stories I've been told he was a bit of a 'Character'... ok, "nutter" himself.

Who is the nutter you know? There are several I know which are all amazing bike riders, but, still nutters.

Hovis was a character and was unique, but, there are many stories for Hovis. A film of his life would be a big seller just for the incidents with the Org, let alone SWMC and SWSB, lol
