How is the yellow peril by the way? Still perilous? What other joys of DIY do we have to look forward to as one's SV ages disgracefully?

Front brakes sorted...

...nearly ****ed it into a hedge ((c) Dr John Hinds) the first time I used them in anger and the front locked. It's only when you fix brake faults that you realise how bad they were...

Had a mare with the clutch; turns out carbed clutch hubs are not interchangeable between the different year models, despite the part #'s being the same. Had to swap the basket as well for it to work and the hub and basket to not lock solid when the hub nut was done up. All good now with no graunching noises.

Changing tyre and cush drive rubbers tomorrow.

Busy!!
I am now Googling what a clutch hub is.. embarrassing! Thought I'd asked my good wife for access to hers last night and been rebuffed!

So, a new job has meant that the amount of riding has dropped considerably...and the amount of time spent in the van and on planes has gone up.

Only done 600 miles or so since the last update.

But yesterday was spent riding for a different reason...

Saying goodbye to a very good friend who succumber to cancer, although it never beat him, after living a hell of a life for the last year after he got the terminal diagnosis.

Flew a spitfire, went tank paintballing, hobnobbed with stars backstage at Strictly, drove a steam train and a multitude of other fabulous experiences
