Out at 6.45am this morning for an early walk. I love being out walking at this time of the day, when the world still feels fresh and new.

Then once I'd finished my little gardening job this afternoon, another (short) walk at Llanymynech rocks.

Dancing tree. Great imagination.

Lady Poppy often mentions a tree on the A528 just north of Preston Gubbals she thinks looks like a horse and rider. In fact Google Maps agrees, as it's marked as The Horse and Jockey Tree. If you go onto Street View and move a smidge south, turning to look north, you can really see it.

Eldest nephew Mike rang this morning to say he and youngest nephew Dave were riding up from home down SE of Aberteifi and did I want to meet up somewhere. I got back in from my walk and then rode over to Machynlleth to meet with them. From there we headed over the mountain road to Llanidloes and on through Trefeglwys and Aberhafesp to y Drenewydd.

It's the road that goes past Glaslyn reserve and then through Dylife a little further on from where the picture was taken. Brilliant piece of road but there was a fair old sidewind going over the top!
