Or less than 15 minutes walking?
Just a suggestion
not realy, the busses have their own bus lanes but have to stop, the cars just dont move very fast.

I would say 30 mins by foot, its more like 1.5miles, as a round trip in the car is 3miles.

'chuckles' you're hanging about for too long if it takes 30 minutes to walk 1.5 miles.
I used to regularly do a 6 miles walk in just under an hour, and that's after a night of drinking.

Well the point is that i dont walk. Let not see who wants to walk the fastest to work.

BEWARE:- Motorcycle Direct!!

I was with them last year, good price,
but when i was knocked off, and i told them it wasnt my fault, all sorts of trouble was coursed, i couldnt change bikes, get different quotes, etc etc, notes on policy saying i needed to claim and all sorts of thing!

Got right cheesed off.

This year called them good price again, however CIA! thier great! chepaer than mcd but way more friendly, will charge money if you need to change details on policy though!

Try cia first, same insurers, different price.

buy yourself autotrader (for a fiver)
ring through the list of insurers and play them off against each other.

trust me , you will save lots more money here

One thing I will suggest is if you have PERSONAL INJURY COVER make sure you check out for any stupid clauses like "We will not pay a claim if you are deemed to be responsible for the accident".

Trust me, the day you need this, they will use this as an excuse not to pay.

I was with Motorcycle Direct, and they paid out for my bike pretty much straight away and put me in touch with DAS which I was still in hossie.

Well, still checking around as I now have the option of keeping it in a garage about a mile away.

Interestingly, Motorcycle Direct ignore the fact its in a garage unless its in line of sight and no one has access to it!

CIA, on the other hand, have managed to beat Motorcyle Direct by £20 and has an excess of £200 less.

(The girlie I was getting a quote from has a curvy SV and knows about the forum, might have helped )

They never asked me about that!

Ah well, glad you've got a better quote, lets hope you have the same success with the S2K

Get her online! Maybe she can help clarify the dark and murky world of vehicle insurance, and give us a light by which we may all find our way!

I did give her a subtle hint to get online, she promised me she would get back on here again.

As for insuring the S... still haven't had a lot of luck. Who would think 3 piddly points would make that much difference???
