rubber parts ? maybe, but my forks weren't rebuilt cause the seals were gone, the metal parts inside had worn out from wear. tires are obviously worn out from milage @ 3,000/month before age would get to them I go thru 4 sets a year radiator hoses, my bike is garaged, not exposed to elememts, wear on hoses is hot water inside them over miles shifter linkage worn from the abrasion of thousands of shifts, an aged but unridden bike will not wear these parts out. I don't think it is normal to expect the milage that I have got out of some things, like cables, clutch plates etc. the only thing I think I do different than most people it that I do not toutch my bike to do anything except ride it, I pay for all my work, including adjustments and cleaning to professionals, it cost me, but I am rewarded with trouble free miles and lower per mile cost in the long run |
