The review was of the faired z750. Which IS ugly.
Pointy SV's are clearly better ![]() ![]() |

I didn't like the curvy SV's at first but they've grown on me. About to get my second pointy (black this time) but seriously considered curvies... was only the age/carbs that put me off... prefer newer bikes and pointy FI is very good I thought.
Love the red curvies though ![]() |

Well, I have had my Z since the beginning of May. To be honest, i can't find a damn thing wrong with it. The riding position is more my style, the handling is superb even on the standard preload settings, The power is more than enough! Yes, the SV has a lot more low down grunt but the Z will still do 0 - 100 in the blink of an eye. The power delivery is very smooth and very quick. The standard Battlax tyres do the bike the world of justice as the Z is just as confidence inspiring as the SV if not moreso, i can lean the Z into corners faster and steeper than i could the SV which suprised me no end. Dont know about the rot problems as my bike is only a few months old. The brakes are lots better on the Z than they were on my SV. So what if you have to drop a cog to overtake? I dont think its a problem personally, like i said before, it has all the power you need for a hooligan
![]() Just my 2p worth of course and dont get me wrong, i loved the SV and i still think its a cracking bike. Just, the Z is more suited to my size and style of riding. For anyone who's thinking about a Z, go test ride one i say. For those who doubt it, i think you might be pleasantly suprised :P Sean |

If there had been £4K naked Z750s around when I got ht eSV, I wouldn't have got the SV, that's for sure. Not that I regret it.
