Learning To Ride - Were You Taught To "Swap Feet"?

Cheers Fizz, I guess the best thing would be to find out from the instructor. She's not DAS-ing until October then, so I was trying to ensure no bad habits are formed!

Reckon thats the best thing to do, see what the instructor says, I am of the opinion that stopping with the left foot down and coverng the back brake is the right thing to do, I still do this now and its one habbit I kept from my DAS, my instructor said it was so that if you got shunted from behind you wouldnt get pushed forward and knocked over. If you hold the bike on the front brake then if you get hit he reckoned you would let go of the front brake and go flying. Also I kept this habbit as my two stroke was a git and would always cut out at traffic lights if it was cold during cold winter mornings I found I could come up to the lights and use the back brake and the pull the clutch in and rev the throttle easier to keep it running this way to
