Okay, most cars (BMW's included) don't block you OR move over to let you pass which is fine. I don't take comments and opinions on car drivers on here as gospel. I don't really go round with a closed mind persecuting certain drivers because of they drive this or that car. I will however notice if a car is driven badly on the road and try to avoid them.

Yep, as you say. Particularly obstructive or particularly courteous driving isn't the norm in any sort of car; that's what makes it noteworthy when it happens.

IMHO it seems like high power upmarket cars like BMW M5's tend to be bought and driven by 'high flyers' in well paid jobs like execs who can afford them. Such jobs require a certain type of 'aggressive' 'can-do' personality to get the job done. If you are a laid back person and don't give a s*it then you are not likely to be employed to do that kind of job, won't be earning mega bucks and so less likely to drive big powerful expensive saloons.

I do think certain cars attack a certain kind of personality, although it's obviously not in every case. I am sure there are some very nice people drive BM's.

I am sure many of us choose to ride a bike as an extension of our personality and for many it is seen as an outward statement saying 'I'm different from the norm'. We've probably all encountered idiots on bikes also who think that unless you ride a blade or 1L monster your not a 'proper' biker.

Oi! I drive a 1.3L Hyundai Accent with a rear spoiler. Does this
make me a boy racer?

I didn't want the spoiler but that was the only model the dealer
had at the time. Hyundai were selling off new Accents at a discount
because they just switched production to a new shape.

I probably should start driving in a baseball cap.

How did you guess? I sometimes actually wear white socks - this is
when I am due to play tennis later.

That's a good excuse, then!
