Oh - and the evening session is only on the Indy circuit. (Noise restrictions come in at something like 6pm at Brands for thr GP circuit as it is sooooo close to people's houses! (The flag post on Sterlings is about 2' from the track and 2' from the end of someone's back garden!!!) |

If you're that worried about damaging your bike, hire another. |

This is the way I look at it: Hireing a bike, anywhere from 120+ a day, plus a deposit, up to £500, if you trash there bike. Your would have to have a really nasty crash to brake an SV to the tune of 720+quid... Just a thought... Dan |

What costs if you have a minor off is the fairings, mirrors, indicators etc and possibly the exhaust.
A good idea is to get some track plastic. Not necessarily a race fairing or anything, but you can get some 2nd hand/damaged fairings, that won’t look pretty but will be there, take the headlight, indicators and mirrors off, sling some R&Gs on there, get a damaged exhaust to put on too and to be honest there isn’t a lot more to damage!!! Lets face it if at that point you have an off that would damage anything else than you have already taken off/replaced, then you are probably going to be concerned with things other than your bike!!! If nothing else it will put your mind at rest that you have taken precautions and you will enjoy the day more. Remember crashing at a trackday is a rarity, not a necessity!! ![]() |

Re track day insurance.
Is it a given that you just repair your own bike even if you think someone else was to blame/at fault? Touch wood this question won't arise!! |
