You sometimes I find it funny how sometimes it's the Intollerant that want to scream the most.
It's like an unbelieveable holywood movie. Looks like magic.

Cheers

Libel and tort... Breach of the peace. Incitement to riot, incitement to commit racial hatred, subjudicy, the Official Secrets Act... And I think the Prevention of Terrorism Act, the Criminal Justice Act 94, and of course "Freedom of speech doesn't protect your right to shout FIRE in a crowded theatre" (one of my favourite quotes, anyone know where it originates?)

jeez talk about taking things to a ridiculous degree! you know whats meant by the term freedom of speech, your right to talk absolute bollox and not be attacked or persecuted for it. "you're talking rubbish sir, but i will defend to the death your right to do so." to paraphrase a well known quote.

but i'll never win this one so, ok you both win.

nah, I'm with you on this one Keith. We have freedom of speech, we don't have freedom to preach and stand on a soap box and abuse races/religions/monarcy, but then that isn't what you were talking about.

Not a case of winning mate, I actually agree with you here Just putting out a wee thing to say that there's no total free speech in the UK, and hasn't been for as long as there's been any sort of civil law. Not my intention to beat you down or anything, sorry about that!

Ed,I couldn't agree with you more!

I now understand what all the hubbub is about in the thread by Admiral Akbar!

Glad there are some people left who stand-up for what they believe in!

Bloody good thread!
