JB, once again the voice of reason cant be argued with so even tho you wont be there i will make sure your spirit is within me if he winds me up and i'll take the high road. Smile politely and move on before he gets angry.

So if he's about tonight, and I suspect he will be, he will either walk past or ask you to move on. Now if he does ask you to move, can we make sure that it's done with a polite nod, quickly and calmly, so that at least he can see we're not troublemakers, and are prepared to peacefully comply with his requests. This way we have a far better chance of our longterm goal of staying put in Frith St.

Now I can't be there tonight, but will be there next Friday where I hope to have another long (and friendly) chat with him. Although he can come across as a bit brusque, if we treat him right, I don't think he's such a bad bloke, and could well play ball if we can manipulate the circumstances so that his life is a lot easier.

We have nothing to lose (apart from our fave spot) so how does that sound?

After all getting everyone to move on quiet like is easier then all the paper work after a argument, and it makes him look good to his boss.

But we ARE parked illegally. And some residents do complain so he is well within his rights to actually do a lot worse than ask us to move - for starters he could be ticketing and issuing rectification/penalty notices for plates/cans - but he hasnt. Hes actually been very reasonable and asked us to move on where he could have ticketed or issued FPNs/rectification notices.

I really dont see why its such a big deal to be reasonable and go quietly and open up the possibility for a compromise where we get to stay than argue and run the risk of tickets and closing the meet down at Frith permanently.

Oh and have you considered that arresting people or fining people would actually make him look better to his superiors because they can show a positive return on his time, ie arrest stat or money stat, to the beancounters? :P
