Are you feeling better yet, A friend of mine had it, said it itched like crazy & felt like burning needles were being pushed into him, he's still got it 18 months later, it has eased a bit though, it was so bad at one point he went to the local pain clinic for spinal injections to kill the feeling.

No, not yet. Don't feel particularly unwell but its getting more painful. The rash looks like its had its worse and is on the way out. When I exert myself thought I feel rubbish, but I reckon thats the drugs I'm on.

How old is your mate Foey?

My gf had it recently. Didn't affect her as badly as a lot of people and the shooting pains lasted less than a week. The docs reckoned her age helped- I think the older you get, generally the more serious it is. Even after recovering from the actual sores, she felt ropey for about 2 weeks afterwards.
