One thing youve missed, if the bike was recovered by a garage they have proberbly got the bike and chain. She may be waiting for it to be repaired and pick it up.

Includes free oxford chain (no spare key unfortunately).

£900 to .orgers or it's going on ebay.
I'll take it, can you forward the V5 on to me just as soon as you find it.

Very good point, she could have just given them the key and told them where it was. I imagine it might well be over a week before they could look at it at this time of year (lots of bikes having teething problems after hibernation). Ta for the suggestion, I'd not considered that.

Bit of an update. Still no contact from her after about 6 weeks. I decide enough is enough and go to her work. Turns out the place she got dropped off wasn't her usual store (she had only worked there briefly) and that her main one was away in Llanishen. I spoke to the supervisor and explained that whilst I didn't expect him to give me her contact details or anything like that, would it be possible for them to pass a message on to her. Chap was spectacularly unhelpful
"No we don't have her address"
"What about a phone no.?"
"No we don't have that either"
"How did you pay her then?"
"She didn't usually work here"
"Okay, who paid her then"
"The Llanishen store"
"Okay, can we contact them then?"
"She has finished with the company, doesn't work for them now either"

&etc. &etc.

Now, I've already spent probably twice what the chain is worth in terms of time/petrol, etc. chasing this. It's not about the money though. I have quite a strong (some have argued overly strong ) sense of right and wrong and to say I am annoyed by this is putting it mildly. It's not so much being ripped of for a £30 chain, it's more that people like her that make more people less inclined to be helpful to other people in need that really gets my goat.

I'm strongly contemplating riding up to llanishen to speak to the store there, but I imagine if she is doing this intentionally, even if the store forward my note to her containing contact details and asking for an explanation/the chain back, she'll likely just ignore it.

So, any of the SWS know of a (resprayed) black RS125 with mini indicators on, fairing is loose on LHS. The bike is normally parked in Penarth (if what she said is true). Rider is a woman in her mid-late 20s short, dyed red hair, named 'Alex', around 5'8", about 16 stone. I'd be interested in "having a chat" with her if you can arrange it.

Yeah, I nearly put my foot in it by saying, "Take it that's the 250 then?"

Wish I had now...
