My technical 'dab' on my first test was laying the bike down in the middle of the road during a U-Turn. Hmmm I wonder why I failed !

I've been out for most of the day today taking it nice and easy! The weather has been good here and has kept dry! I can't wipe the grin off my face - there really is nothing like it!

The engine braking on the sv is really quite 'strong' isn't it? Doesn't take too long to get used to it though.

Off to North Wales this weekend for a flying visit and a nice long, steady ride on roads I know well. Can't wait for that either.

As for comments about cars - lol, seen enough (like most) to appreciate the d1cks. However, I can't use my bike to commute to work (far too much kit to carry) and need the car for work - so all my daily driving will be done in a car - the bike is purely a evening/weekend 'toy' / whenever I can possibly get away without the car! This *may* reduce my intake of mid-day, white van men. *crosses fingers*

Yes - I def got very lucky regarding the U-Turn. I always thought foot down = automatic fail, which is what I thought throughout the test after I'd made the error. However, I just tried to ignore it and rode on as best I could, which must of paid off. And it really was just a hint of a foot on the floor (not that I'm making excuses).

I guess you must have ridden very well and the intructor went with his gut feeling rather than the rules, lucky sod! Well done though, I am reading into it that you actually mainly deserved to pass, so enjoy it! I am up around Leam a feew times, my best mate lives in Warwick and I used to live in Leam. Maybe we will see each other.
