See my previous reply. It's not illegal to have it OR use it. It's illegal to not insure it.

They are not 'that' good.
Disagree that the kwak has a better chassis. Definitely a better suspension
setup though.

I agree if more speed is required, it would be easier to buy a different bike.

I've seen bikes with NOS bottles proudly bolted to the side of their machine!

100mph at nearly 8k with an 11k limit effectively means a 95-100mph cruising speed....how fast do you need to go on a public road? At that speed you'd go straight through a double brick wall and kill someone on the other side! (someones house?)

It takes 5-6 secs on a gixxer 750 to overtake from around 50mph rolling on in top. About the same as a Porshe 911.....I think we sometimes have too little respect for the performance our machines already have. IMHO

Still....whatever turns you on!

Use the bottom end then there's plenty of it and enough for overtaking the cagies

I don't think respect for performance comes into it. I totally respect the fact that my bike is capable of killing me every time I ride it, but the fact that I can do 165mph if I want to is irrelevant. The bike's performance isn't an issue, how I use it is.

Having a disrespect for your machine's performance isn't the same thing as wanting more - I'm a very sensible person generally, and don't take stupid risks in any environment, but I wouldn't mind if my bike accelerated quicker, or developed more power, or looked shinier, etc etc.

Now go on Junkie - post up a weblink from an 'expert' that proves that respect for performance directly correlates to likelihood of death
