Wish I'd read this thread earlier, I've just dismantled an SV ignition. If anyone wants it, it's going free to a good home.

Connecting the red to the two Oranges is where the + voltage comes from to power everything (lights, indis, dash, etc)

Well in that case all I should need at the moment is the resistor, next is to sort the remote kill.

Yeah, from what i remember from doing the idiot light unit on mine they use a common positive for some things....just to confuse matters!

So, as mentioned above, the positive supply is red.

I hate, hate, hate, bloddy hate that bloody bike and stupid **** electrics. Now the stupid bloody spark plugs won't spark and in my moody anger I've gone and damaged the fuse box. After all that it still won't spark, and do I know why? Do I not, stupid feckin' thing, I start one thing and get it all sweet and something else comes along and screws up my day. Well I've given up now else I'll end up braking it some more.

Nope, though I don't think the remote start is the problem as I disconnected it all just in case. Still no spark on the bloody spark plugs, oh its so bloody anoying.

I've installed remote starts on lots of cars, but not a bike yet? It seems to me there is no connection to the ignition circuit, or something is not bypassed. Do you have some kind of relay setup to bypass the clutch? I know mine won't try to start with out the clutch pulled in. And a remote start is going to send power to start circuit regardless and that may be why it cranks but no fire. Well that is what comes to mind first, if I think of anything else I'll post it. Also try holding the clutch in while trying to remote start it.
