Option 1 (if you can cook):
Cook her a nice meal. Get yourself a decent plain tablecloth, some candle-holders or tea-lights, a rose or some flowers, get the good crockery/cutlery out. Get a good bottle of wine/champagne (if you're really skint, Asda Cava Brut will do ![]() Switch the lights off ... light the candles, and have a wonderful candlelit dinner for two in your own "new" home ![]() It won't be THAT expensive and a lot of effort/thought will have gone into it. Even better, if you have the time (and she's not about) bake her a birthday cake!! It might not be the best, but it will be homemade and it will have had that extra "secret" ingredient of LOVE - something they don't put in those "off the shelf" ones ![]() Option 2 (if you REALLY can't cook): Buy her a copy of Singstar (plus mic's) and half a dozen bottles of Lambrini ... Your very own pi$$ed up karaoke night without ever having to leave the comfort of your own home ![]() Better still, secretly invite some friends around to laugh and take photos ![]() Option 3: Shot glass chess? Option 4: Take a browse through the wonderful world of online gift ideas in: www.firebox.com or www.iwoot.com That's about all I can think of right now ![]() ![]() Pete |

I've taken her out shopping and said "buy anything you want, i'll say when to stop" as well. She knows i've not got much money, and i always get a nice card. Flowers may help, but again, something thats been done plenty of times before. See why im having so many troubles. As for marrage, gimmie a break... ![]() |

Trade her in for a less troublesome model.
![]() Or how about a dirty weekend in Folkstone? ![]()

Well if nothing else ... this will have her laughing ... and at least it might make her forget what a sh*t birthday present it is ...

Ohhhh this post has given me an idea?
Day trip to France? Go and see all the war tunnels and such, she likes all that kinda stuff (me too). Spend a day mincing along the coastal walks? Ladies, good idea ish? £18 return is a blinder, can go on at 8am (leave) and come back on the 8pm ferry? Not done a day trip before, is that enough time to mince about? |
