Has that had its first service Plowsie? If so, that's pretty terrible... It won't be part of the PDI, the bikes go to the shops mostly built, but there's no way it should've passed a proper inspection at service... Lucky really, that could have gone very wrong...

The wheels themselves are alright, or should be when they're built right, so I wouldn't run to replace them just because of this... But if you do, then Merlin do make very good wheels, my XT/717 combo never needed so much of a tweak despite being a budget option and not massively strong.

Nice set of hop hubs, laced to something nice with stainless triple butted spokes could do them for about 200 quid, but you know you want some nice titanium ti dye spokes really....

Good choices those 2, thisiswhy is on my favourites list... Not just about cycling really, you could replace his mtb with a motorbike and it'd still work. Best magazine cartoon ever...

Those Mint's sure sum me up.

Any one prepared to make an offer on a top flight Giant XtC Team Edition? I miss my bike so much that I could actually cry.

I think that the only way I will be able to ride again is if I can find a recumbent so that I am not sat on my damaged parts. Thanks for sharing that Venom, off to shed a tear now.

I'm missing my bike loads at the moment, still haven't managed to get the wheel sorted I just wanna get out on it now, I may walk with it slinged over my shoulder, the 5+ miles it is to Halfrauds

I was up there the other week and saw a very nice Kona in Halfords for £375, looked niiiiiiice.

Get it looked at, they will have to book you in, but it should only be a few days. Your other choice take a wander to Weston and I will true your wheels for you. You bring the ice cream and I will bring a spoke key!

As for Kona, I had one a few years ago and it was a seriously brilliant bike. I have real regret about selling that bike, it was awesome.
