The weather was grand yesterday Craig, although the wind was chilly!

Hi Gary - Welcome to the Sourdough club! I started during the lockdown. No better tasting bread (IMHO) Hope it works out for you. Some loaves take me3 days from start to finish. I just bung it in the fridge if its
inconvient to bake at the time, hence the 3 days

Morning RT. I'm going to put my starter in the fridge for a couple of days on hold till I see how this first loaf comes out. I'm also still making standard 100% wholemeal bread in my breadmaker.

If the sourdough loaf comes up ok I will experiment with the recipe a bit. I fancy making a spicy fruit sourdough loaf.

We've had a bread maker for a few years. I usually put it on a timer so you wake to smell of bread in the morning. I use it to make pizza dough too.

Spent a few hours jet washing the decking. I've never seen it so green, says a lot about the recent weather.

It was a bit cold and very blustery but, as today is the only day for two weeks with no rain in the forecast... Hugh came out of hibernation! Just a ten mile circuit but enough to:

- make me smile
- make my legs ache
- realise my new boots need more breaking in.

Changing gear was tricky as the boots are stiffer and a bit thicker on top of my foot than my very old ones, but I'll get used to them and in time they'll hopefully get used to me.

It's good to be back out there.

I got out this afternoon for a few hours. Out exploring the Welsh borders. Bike is muddy again but at least it didn't rain.

Morning all. The morning here started with clear, blue skies, but it's clouding over now. The forecast is for rain and it looks like that's what we're going to get. Few jobs to be done over the next couple of days and it looks like the indoor jobs are going to be done today.

Morning. The opposite here - it started off raining but now I see blue skies approaching - thanks for passing them over

If it wasn't for the buds bursting open into leaves on the lilac you'd swear it was December: cold, blowing a right one, and pouring down. Great start to the long weekend...
