Thanks all for the well wishes.

No the car that hit me did not stop.
By the time I got the bike back under control he was long gone.
My only glimpse of the car was seeing a small corner of the front end 1/10 th of a second before the impact.
It was a dark navy blue colour. That's all I know.
Didn't call police. I thought my foot was broken and was less than 20 miles from the hospital so continued on.
Having a heat wave so saw no use in standing around in 36 degree heat for an hour or two with a hurting foot to report someone who will never be caught.
There were some other drivers that stopped but no one got the plate number.

Just been told by my doctor today that I don't need a plate in my shoulder, its not as bad has we thought so more riding time.

Overnight, my job is officially at risk again. I do wish they would make their minds up. Senior execs/CIO say they want to expand my role/teams and it is business critical. HR have a body count to cull.

Why smile, well it happens every year around the time of compensation reviews and the "You know the state of the company" after 34 years of this I am getting a bit cynical.
