Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
I have just recieved my licence back after changing my address so can now confirm exact convictions stand as follows.
SP50 Exceeding speed limit on a motorway - Fixed £60 fine and 3 penalty points. SP50 Exceeding speed limit on a motorway - £450 fine and 84 day ban. CD10 Driving without due care and attention - £450 fine and 84 day ban. Still can't work out which is worse CD10, CD20 or CD30? |

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
I didn't think you could get 2 convictions for the one offense I take it you only paid 450 once & had one 84 day ban?

CD10 Driving without due care and attention - £1200 fine and 6 points (expired) SP50 Exceeding speed limit on a motorway - Fixed £60 fine and 3 points. Come June I'll be able to send off my licence and have the CD10 removed. Which'll be nice. And then another year before I can stop declaring it entirely because I'll be rehabilitated! Hurrah!

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
It's not one offence. It's two. Exceeding the speed limit being one and 'undertaking' being the other. I had to pay both fines and the bans ran concurrently so £900 fine plus court costs and victim surcharge and 84 days off the road.

Re: The TV Mini Mehga thread.
Your trying to split hairs.
I was not charged with Dangerous Driving. (actually I was but declined to accept it). I personally think I got off lightly considering I was on the YZF and the throttle would not twist any further. There could have been a series of other offences he could have charged me with including failing to stop, resisting arrest, and probably a few other things thrown in. I'm sure my front tyre was (is) well overdue replacement. Your original statement was regarding being convicted for the same offence twice. I didn't get convicted of the same offence. I commited two offences at the same time. That's different. |
