Out in the garden this morning. Did some watering as the rain we had forecast never materialised. Then tried my hand at some grafting. I have a young Bramley apple tree which I'm training as an espalier. The intention is to have one side as a Bramley and the other side as a Cox. I took three scion cuttings from a friend's Cox tree a few weeks ago and this morning I got them out of the fridge and did the deed. We'll see if, and how well they take.

Fingers crossed on the grafts Gary. Always worth a try anyway.
The forecasted rain might be coming our way early afternoon today, but it does not look like it so far. Which is good as I have to go outside and replace ANOTHER load of divots in the lawn. Yup, the blasted nocturnal nasties have been back. They make such a mess.
